Pineapple 🍍 Recipe

Christopher Columbus discovered pineapple in South America, and is now world known.

Pineapple has many health benefits including:

Asthma prevention: decreases risk of developing asthma in people who consume high amounts of nutrients like beta carotene found in pineapple.

Fertility: Antioxidant rich diets have been shown to improve fertility. Because free radicals also can damage the reproductive system, foods that battle free radicals like pineapple are recommended when trying to conceive. Antioxidants like Vitamin C, beta carotene, copper, zinc, and folate have properties improving both male and female fertility.

Healing and inflammation: Bromelain, the enzyme found in pineapples, can reduce swelling, bruising, healing time, and pain associated with injury and surgical intervention. Commonly used in treatment of tendinitis, sprains, strains, and other minor muscle injuries. Very good treatment for ear, nose, or throat surgeries or trauma.

Skin: antioxidant Vitamin C, when eaten in its natural form or applied topically, can help fight skin damage caused by the sun and pollution, reduce wrinkles, and improve overall skin texture. Also aiding in formation of collagen.
